BILL DEATHERAGE (RETIRED)

Bill Deatherage was born in Drumright, Oklahoma and grew up in Bend, Oregon. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1945 to 1948 as a Mailman Second Class aboard the battleship U.S.S. New Jersey. Upon his return to dry land, he attended the University of Oregon, receiving a B.S. in 1952, and earning his law degree and admittance to the bar in 1954. That same year, Bill moved to Medford and joined Otto Frohnmayer's law practice. Bill married Priscilla Campbell in 1954. They have two children and three grandchildren. Bill is an avid golfer and has played in the Southern Oregon Golf Tournament since 1955.

Stephen Jamieson

Stephen Jamieson was raised in Rochester, New York. After graduating from Amherst College and Boston University School of Law, he served as an Assistant Attorney General in Washington State, living in Olympia and Bellingham. Stephen then earned a Masters in Taxation from New York University School of Law and practiced with a firm of tax attorneys in Rochester, NY for six years. In 1983, Stephen, his wife Janet, and their two children, Zach and Josh, moved to Medford when Mr. Jamieson joined the firm. Outside the office, Stephen enjoys music, chess, surfing, snowboarding and mountain biking.

Education

Stephen's primary areas of practice are income tax planning for individuals, limited liability companies, and corporations. This includes estate tax planning, important business transactions, trust and estate issues, real estate sales or purchases, and complex tax controversies.

Bernie Moore

Bernie has tried in excess of 100 jury trials to verdict in Jackson, Josephine, Klamath, Deschutes, Douglas, Coos, Curry, Linn, and Multnomah Counties. He also has trial experience in the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon. From 1984 –85 he served as a deputy District Attorney for Jackson County. He entered private practice in 1985 focusing exclusively on litigation. Since 1995 he has served as Disciplinary Counsel for the Oregon State Bar. He is admitted to practice in the State Courts of Oregon; the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon and the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. He frequently speaks on the topics of Uninsured and Underinsured Motorist benefits, and trial tactics for organizations such as the Oregon Association of Defense Counsel, Professional Liability Fund, Oregon State Bar and the Oregon Law Institute.

Thomas Armosino

Thomas is a trial attorney whose practice focuses on the defense of medical professionals. Away from the office, Thomas enjoys hunting the West. He and his wife Heidi spend their free time surfing and exploring Great Basin archeology, and spending time with their precious mini-Aussies.

Tracy McGovern

Legal Background & Practice

Ms. McGovern has a general civil litigation practice with emphasis in the areas of insurance defense, personal injury defense, employment law, and professional malpractice defense. She has extensive trial experience having tried in excess of 50 jury trials to date.

Ms. McGovern also handles domestic relations cases including the representation of parties in cases involving complicated asset valuation and support issues. Ms. McGovern also enjoys serving as a mediator in cases involving represented parties as well as unrepresented parties. Ms. McGovern was admitted to the Oregon State Bar in 1993, and is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the District of Oregon (1998). John "Cam" Howry

Cam Howry is a fourth generation Oregonian. He grew up in Corvallis, Oregon. After graduating from Oregon State University and Willamette University College of Law, Cam and family moved to the Rogue Valley in 2006. He and his wife live in Medford with their three children.

Following law school graduation Cam clerked briefly for the Multnomah County Circuit Court. In 2006, Cam and his family moved to the Rogue Valley and he accepted a position at Southern Oregon Public Defenders, Inc. Cam joined Frohnmayer Deatherage as an associate attorney in 2007, and became a partner of the firm in 2012. Cam focuses his practice on litigation in almost any forum. Cam has handled cases in municipal courts, Oregon Circuit Court, Oregon Court of Appeals, U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. These cases range from Commercial Civil Litigation to Criminal Defense to Family Law. Alicia Wilson

Alicia Wilson has lived in the Rogue Valley most of her life. Her parents Jan and Rick Bettenburg own a print shop in Central Point, Oregon, where Alicia grew up. Alicia is married to Andrew Wilson who is also a Medford attorney. In her spare time Alicia enjoys reading, traveling, community events and the theater.

Cavan Davies

Cavan was born and raised in Utah, and is an Oregonian by choice. Cavan earned his bachelor's degrees in History and Political Science from Gonzaga University. While at Gonzaga, Cavan enjoyed participating in public service and was a team captain of the men's lacrosse team. In his spare time, Cavan enjoys hiking, skiing, coaching and playing lacrosse, and watching the Oregon Ducks.

While in law school, Cavan externed for the Honorable Michael J. McShane in the Federal District Court for the District of Oregon. Cavan was heavily involved in the Business Law Clinic, and assisted young entrepreneurs in forming businesses pro-bono. While is law school, Cavan was on the leadership boards for the Law and Entrepreneurship Student Association, The Federalist Society, and The Oregon Student Public Interest Fund.
